If you’re of the opinion that you can wear your trusted pair of denims only to a casual Friday at work, well that’s right. But, what if we were to tell you that you can sport denim no matter what day of work it is? Obviously, you don’t have a clue how to wear denim to work without looking too casual and laid back. Fret not! WODROB is here to show you how to incorporate this fabric into your work wear outfits in three unconventional ways.
Denim Corset Belt
Kim Kardashian made the corset belt trend quite popular. Take a cue from her and strap a denim corset on, with a pair of white trousers and a loose khaki blouse when you’re on your way to work. For an edgy take, cinch your waist with the lace-up frayed denim corset over your blouse. Carry the grey structured faux leather satchel as arm candy and slip into a pair of mustard flats to complete the look.
Pump up your style with a pair of chic pair of strappy denim heels. This might seem a little tricky to pull off at first but all you’ve got to do is pair it with a sleek midi dress when you’re taking this look to office. Keep the jewellery minimal and carry a stylish tan leather bag that will complement the look.
Denim + Sari? Yes, you read that right! What better way than wearing a denim sari to make a style statement at work, and still look preppy and sophisticated? Actress Sonam Kapoor was spotted wearing a refurbished denim sari and rocked that look. With this concept in mind, designer Anubha Jain came up with a collection of denim saris that ladies can drape and carry off effortlessly at work. We’d pair the sari with an asymmetrical sleeved crop top to amp up the style quotient. Accessorise with a pair of dangling earrings and gemstone rings.
