Designer Manish Arora’s Latest Art Installation Speaks Volumes Of Love

We’ve seen him rock the global fashion weeks many times and his talent knows no bounds. We’re talking about none other than ace fashion designer Manish Arora. In case you thought his indisputable creativity is confined to the runway, well we must tell you that he has also been showcasing his work through a few art installations as well. Known as ‘the Indian John Galliano’, Arora recently collaborated with St+art India Foundation in association with the JSW Group. Together they unveiled a spectacular installation titled ‘All We Need Is Love’ at the pristine white building of Jindal Mansion at Pedder Road, Mumbai on December 7. Team WODROB was part of the evening with over 150 guests to celebrate the spirit of love.

Incorporating his signature colours and dramatic elements, the art installation is nothing less than a splendid vision. A riot of hues and prints and added glow-in-the-dark elements, this piece of art is all about joy and celebration. It aims to evoke emotions of love and encourage passersby to stop and think of all the beauty in the world, hoping to encourage people to be hopeful for times to come.

Created with yards of cloth that’s either hand-embroidered or printed, about 2400 pieces have been put together to achieve the final look. Also, it’s an outcome of six months of ideating, and 35 artisans and three months worked on the installation at the mansion. At the event, Manish Arora stated, “It’s been fabulous collaborating with the JSW Group and St+art India Foundation and creating this public art installation at the iconic Jindal Mansion that was borne out of my life philosophy. With thousands of people passing by this place on a daily basis, we hope that through this installation we evoke emotions of love and peace.”
