We would not argue that every day is Shoesday. But thanks to all that social media frenzy, we fashionistas get a designated day to celebrate shoe love. And with Lakme Fashion Week’s Winter/Festive 2017 edition just wrapping up, we can’t tell you how much we want some footwear styles, we’ve seen on the runway, to appear magically in our shoe closet. But sigh! That’s not happening anytime soon. Nonetheless, we’ve done some stalking and spotted a few chic shoe silhouettes for you (and us) to obsess over. Go, read on.
Printed Brogues at Ajay Kumar
If there’s one designer who is known for his bespoke shoes, it’s Ajay Kumar. We spotted his signature printed brogues in this season of Lakme Fashion Week as well. Must we say, we’ve given a thought on what our next splurge is going to be! Just that perfect accompaniment to a button-down midi skirt and tee combo.
Gingham Back Strap Sandals at The Pot Plant Clothing
Fashion forecasters have branded gingham as 2017s biggest trend, and we did mention that earlier on as well. Now, thanks to the LFW W/F 17 runway, gingham back-strap slides are going to be a street style staple. We can already see fashionistas working this stylish piece with a monochrome outfit.
Lace-up Heels at Manish Malhotra
If you’ve got to add just the right amount of drama to your must-have regular heels, give them a lace-up detail. It’s obviously a covetable trend and Manish Malhotra’s runway looks are only proof. Work the shoe style with a simple shirt dress to up your style quotient a notch higher.
Metallic Loafers at Sunita Shanker
Take us back to Summer 2016 when everyone was busy scouting for and sporting those metallic Gucci loafers like a pro. Or maybe not, because we spotted a few in this edition of Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017. We sure know they’re going to be part of our shoe closet STAT!
Frayed Denim Slides at Jodi
Can one ever say no to denim in any form? We’re sure the universe just shouted out NO. Denim’s both comfortable and easy to style. And if you’ve got yourself a pair of frayed denim slides this season, you can very well sport them with a longline shirt and a pair of cropped pants.
Laced Creeper Boots at Shreeya Somaiya
When creepers made a comeback about two years back, we hardly heard anyone go ugh! In fact, they’ve now become a street style staple. And what’s better than a pair of laced creeper ankle boots for fall. Wear them with those ditsy floral dresses to look winter ready.
