Hey, stylish girl! We’ve been scanning social media and all we can find are LOTDS of traditional outfits because everyone’s busy celebrating Independence Day. So we decided to scout for picks from our wardrobe and curate easy looks that can be worn not just to match the vibe today but are perfect when you’ve got em’ desi feels. Instead of going all out traditional, our in-house stylist Sheena Chandwani decided to play muse and show us how to work the Indian tricolour in one’s attire. Check out as we decode these fusion looks that are easily found in your closet.
Think desi, think saffron
Sheena opted for a fusion look for the colour saffron. She’s worked a well-tailored traditional kurta with a pair of cropped off-white pants. Embellished and caged slides and funky hexagonal frames are all that’s needed to complete this look. All you accessories people, add a couple of midi rings with this look and get that red pout; it’s that simple to look chic.
Boho vibes in white
We’re calling out to the boho souls with this look. Sheena styled her short white kurta with a pair of tangerine palazzo pants. She’s added a hint of nerdy chic with those oversized frames and a sleek tan laptop sleeve. A pair of slides and she’s got her complete look. We suggest a grungy brown for the lips, and a faux septum piercing if you’re way edgy and bohemian.
Go sporty in green
Green is such a fun colour to sport and unlike what you think, it’s easy to team up as well. Sheena styled her green long-sleeved top with a pair of distressed denim. She went out for a more sporty look here and opted for a pair of sneakers. Wear a light coloured lipstick in peach or pink to complete this look. If you’re into accessories, just wear a stylish rose gold watch. Hold that backpack for an arm candy and you’re good to go.
