India Couture Week 2017 is scheduled for July 24, and this time again two top Indian couturiers Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal will be opening the seven-day extravaganza in New Delhi. As announced by FDCI, both the designers will showcase their collections at offsite locations. Elaborating further FDCI announced, “Anamika Khanna and Rohit Bal have been the epicentre of the fashion world. They will open the India Couture Week with their trademark grandeur setting enviable trends for a discerning audience.”
Titled Luxury 2017, pieces from Anamika Khanna’s collection will be displayed as installations in The Kila, Mehrauli. Talking about the collection the designer pointed out, “Respecting and understanding the small nuances of every occasion, at Anamika Khanna we present the Luxury 2017 collection, the story of a beautiful wedding.” Rohit Bal’s collection Khush Posh will aim at reviving heritage pieces from the costume collection of the Mughals and will exhibit his expertise in embroidery. Bal’s show will take place at the Bikaner House, the location being the same as last year.
Kickstarting from the July 24, India Couture Week 2017 will showcase 14 designers from the likes of Manav Gangwani, Monisha Jaising, Anju Modi, Anita Dongre, Gaurav Gupta, Rahul Mishra, Manish Malhotra, Reynu Taandon, Rina Dhaka, Shyamal & Bhumika, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl.
