Paris Couture Week 2016

Paris Couture Week 2016

Fashion mavericks never fail to enchant us with their magic spell of Haute Couture. It’s fascinating to watch the show where they put all their imagination and craftiness to make epic luxury. This year’s Couture week at its motherland was a perfect formula of contemporary styles, high quality fabrics and beautiful colour combinations. Whole show took us to a dreamy world.

Here are a few best runway looks from this season:

Viktor & Rolf

This marvellous duo never fails to amaze us with their arty ideas in fashion. This year’s collection was inspired from Charles Dickens vagabond, who wander around cities and therefore he always wears mismatched clothes. They used small pieces of fabric, rugs with layers of torn material to create voluminous shape and textures. Everything was hand-woven to excellence and was topped up with buttons, beads and crystals. Whole look appeared as a lavish mess.

Renaissance and romanticisms of Shakespeare’s poetry inspired Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri to create beautiful collection. Finale took our breath away with its stunning red gown, its architectural silhouette and exaggerated neck ruffles that created a poetic experience on the stage. Valentino was most loved this season for its ecstatic details and graceful style.

Maison Margiela

John Galliano’s imagination makes Margiela’s bizarre character world even crazier. This season it was inspired from French revolution and its soldiers. Oversized dresses and jackets combined with vivid colour palate looked extremely theatrical. It was most innovative and inspirational show of entire Paris Couture week.

Armani Prive

Embracing his love for Swarovski in couture Giorgio Armani once again took us on a luxurious trip with his statement v-neck gowns and tailored pantsuits. This season he used deco patterns and knots as embellishment. It was as always for sexy and powerful women who walk with attitude.

Atlier Versace

When models walked on ramp and blew our minds off with dramatic silhouettes and rare colour combination, we knew it was Versace. This season everything was about draping and asymmetry. Slip dresses and jackets were layered perfectly and looked extremely gorgeous. And it was all topped up with classy jewellery style and seductive red glittery lips.

We have been deeply in love with sophistication of Coco Chanel. This season it continues to make an impact on us with its monochromatic palate and high fashion iconic styles merged with new cuts. Entire Collection stood out for its layered skirts and angled shoulders. High Curly hair buns with bows were looking stylish with dense eyes.

Whereas stage setup was extremely impressive where original workshop of the brand was created on the background using mannequins, sewing machine, cutting tables, embroidery material and other sewing tools.

We love luxury, shiny crystals, music and this dramatic dreamy world of fashion becoming real. Craftsmanship and energy put in Haute Couture is astonishing and inspiriting. Here we are with essence of whole show.
