Whether you’d want to admit it or not, all our daily dose of inspiration lies in our phone and laptop screens. In fact, thanks to Instagram and Pinterest, lust-worthy inspiration is just a double tap or pin away. And while aping celebrity style has been a strategy for fashion lovers, an abundance of social media inspiration actually comes from the blogging zone. Bloggers (fashion in particular) have revolutionised the digital game in unimaginable ways. In fact, each blogger is now nothing but an ‘influencer’, a word the fashion fraternity is not done with yet.
At WODROB we’re always scouting for people who redefine style with an individualistic approach. Scrolling through Instagram feeds can be pretty overwhelming, and that’s exactly where we step in. In our series titled #StyleRadar, we will be featuring underrated bloggers from across India. The idea is to acquaint you with their effortless yet amazing style so you can take notes on a day-to-day basis.
In this article, we’ve mentioned four stunning bloggers hailing from north east India, whose fashion game we are obsessed with. Read along as they give you a sneak peek into their personal style.
Blogger and stylist Aien Jamir from Nagaland is at the top of our list. Her fashion aesthetic is all things fun, quirky and edgy all at once. Titled Fashion & I, her blog is about her bold and colourful sartorial choices. Despite that, it also has a fresh take on Indian street style.
A blogger/YouTuber and a stern fashion believer, this Naga girl is one of the fashion bloggers we can vouch for. Her monochromatic style is highly evident through her blog posts and got to mention that we love it. While her style speaks to the masses, it also retains her individual personality, which we adore. For instance, when she’s working an athleisure vibe in a leather jacket and track pants or sporting a frayed denim with a white tee.
Asenla Jamir from Blanc Muse
A NIFT graduate who’s lived both in Assam and Nagaland, Asenla is all about minimalism with a dash of edginess. When asked about her personal style, she said, “It is mostly laid-back but I also try out new styles, because why not? I always believe in keeping it simple and minimal. I don’t like trying too hard with my dressing as I believe in being comfortable. That said, I am never afraid to try something new.”
Roshnee from Her Perfect Spot
Hailing from Sikkim, Gangtok, Roshnee juggles between working as a flight attendant and being a blogger. Sticking to solids with an added pop of colour, Roshni experiments with silhouettes. In her own words, “My style is based upon the latest trends. That said, most of the times I create my own style, which is a mix of vintage and vogue cult in which I always try and add something extra to my outfit. I wear anything and everything, and people say I pretty much carry it off too well.”
